Although a level entry phone, the Nokia 1208 does offer the unique ability to hold 5 seperate phonebooks enabling the handset to be shared within the family efficiently and effectively without loss or mix up of data.
A Dual Band GSM 900 / 1800 handset with an impressive battery life, the nokia 1208 also sees the introduction of a call-time tracking feature into mobile devices which allows calls to be limited by time or cost whereby once the limit level has be reached the call is automatically ended giving a much greater management over the cost of running a mobile phone.
Other features hidden beneath the demure exterior of the Nokia 1208 are a flashlight controlled by one touch and for first time users a teaching mode to help guide them through the menu options and features of the phone.
Although the Nokia 1208, available in Red or Black, is basic to say the least, the features that it does offer are far from primative and prove themselves as extremely valuable assests when high call costs are of a major concern.
