Nokia 6290 - Review:
Part of a range of new mobile phones to be released by Nokia is the Nokia 6290 clamshell.
Available in Black and Light Blue colour schemes, the Nokia 6290 is a 3G smartphone equipped with 2.0 mega pixel camera with video record and playback and flash. For which the 2.2inch 240 x 320 colour screen display comes in very handy.
Other features of the Black Nokia 6290 include an integrated MP3 Player with a built-in FM Stereo Radio and Visual Radio supporting by Stereo Speakers with 3D Surround Sound.
There's a secondary camera dedicated to video calling and the Nokia 6290 also boosts Push to Talk technology.
The Nokia 6290 running on the Symbian S60 3rd Edition operating system, offers expandable memory via MicroSD card but does come with 50MB of internal memory to start.
Connectivity options for the 6290 Quad Band handset include GPRS, EDGE, Bluetooth Wirelesss, infra-red, USB and of course 3G as previously mentioned.
With 3G viewing online content and downloading and transferring data couldn't be easier or faster via the Nokia 6290's web browser or email client. Other messaging solutions include instant messaging.
So the Nokia 6290 really does pack a punch even though it may look rather simplistic in its design, so inforcing the idea that you can't always judge a book by its cover.
