Nokia N800 Internet Tablet - Review:
The latest Internet Tablet to be released is the Nokia N800, an upgrade to the Nokia 770.
The Nokia N800 uses a second generation Linux based operating system known as the Internet Tablet OS 2007 Edition which features some much welcomed enhancements to the original 2006 edition.
Featuring a more than impressive high resolution wide touch screen display with handwriting recognition and on-screen keyboard, internet browsing is made easier and texting and typing that much faster.
Other features include internet calling using a fantastic integrated webcam which is a new addition not present on the Nokia 770 model and video conferencing.
The Nokia N800 Internet Tablet also comes inclusive of WiFi and Bluetooth, as one would expect, along with a built-in Media Player which is supported by Stereo Surround Sound Speakers or you can tune in to Internet Radio.
MicroSD expansion resolves any issues that the Nokia 770 may have had with regards to memory and the N800 is also compatible with SD, miniSD, MMC and RS-MMC. providing a wide range of options depending on preference.
Keep in touch using the email client, view attachments with the Nokia N800's on board PDF viewer and keep up to date with the RSS newsreader, and to make life just that little bit easier, Nokia have included integrated desk stand which allows for easier desk top use.
Another top feature is that the Nokia N800 Internet Tablet can be used in conjunction with a GPS Receiver in order to act as a satellite navigation system, which is a definite plus if your work involves a lot of travelling.
The Nokia N800 is also compatible with any Bluetooth , 3G or HSDPA enabled Handset whilst internet connections are otherwise made via WLAN and the N800 offers a User Interface in 16 different languages.
So pretty much covering everything you would expect and more from an Internet Tablet, on top of being both compact and slim!
